Hofbrau - Bamberg

Yes ok the food is good but Is not possible to wait 1 hour for a simple cold plate. And was not full of people.

Spent the day touring Bamberg and stopped to eat at this restaurant. I had the pork knuckle with sauerkraut and dumpling and it was amazing. The sauerkraut was very fresh and the portion size of the food was large. The staff was friendly which is helpful when you do not speak German. It wasn't a cheap place to eat but it was worth it.

Hofbrau has, despite what the name suggests, a good wine list with a couple of real highlights from Franconia, eg the wines from Christine Pröstler. Service is fine; it sometimes requires a second look or a third question to get a more detailed response...The food is fine, but you might want to stick with the daily specials to avoid the heavier options. Good atmosphere, usually busy.

I found it because it was a carving restaurant, but honestly, that carving was the worst. the fried clothes and the meat were not very good. a thing that differed from the haksen was only okay, and the kartoffel that came with the haksen had a unique and delicious texture, and the pommes frites were delicious.

Beer and steak are really good! even the free wlan is perfect ^^ with pommes and salat it was even better! I recommend la hou bier.
