Domterassen Bei Dimi - Bamberg

A local gentleman reccomended this place to us, also because of the view on the Bamberg Dom. We enjoyed not only the view, but also the food and the friendly service. The restaurant, named Leo , is walking distance from the busier center of Bamberg, uphill, a few meters away from the ancient Carmeliten Kloster. Really worth the small detour !

Yesterday my husband and I enjoyed a fantastic grilled seafood dinner with a view to die for! I was expecting a small view of Bamberg’s Cathedral from a distance, but instead had a “drop the mike view” of the Dom from the terrace, which delightfully enveloped the restaurant. Equally important were the owners, Anna and Volder, who made us feel welcomed and special. We enjoyed our exchanges during the evening and meeting their beautiful family. We were getting a bit tired of dumplings and local food. The Dom Terrassen was just down the street from our penzion. What a wonderful find! Food was fantastic. We are used to great Greek restaurants in Sydney, Australia. If the weather is nice, there is a lovely terrace where you can eat outside. Be prepared that not all the waitstaff speak English.

As always very good food. Very nice dishes and good fish. The service is very good and nice with a view. Overall very good quality, we were very happy!!!

A nice place with a very good view. Nice service recommending nice dishes. I had the red wine... nice choice. The starter was very good, although a big portion. The main was excellent a mixed grill. The downside was as mentioned on another review... the waiting time. It worth the visit
