Opus Dining - Balwyn
Opus Dining
Description
Nestled conveniently for pre- or post-movie dining, this recently renovated restaurant boasts a sleek, modern aesthetic and an impressive menu. Guests rave about the innovative dishes, with standout offerings like fried cauliflower, plump scallops, and tender duck leg, all beautifully presented. While the food quality shines, service tends to be slow, likely a result of the new staff settling in. The wine selection complements the meals well, though some patrons noted the absence of certain beverages. With a few adjustments to service and ambiance, this dining destination promises a delightful experience worth revisiting.

Midweek 7pm. The food was very good especially the side of fried cauliflower. Scallops were plump and delicious although 2 were cold. Same with the wagyu meatballs. Lamb ribs delicious. I think the wait staff were fairly new and seemed to move at a very slow pace. Several customers complaining of the wait. Once they work this out and warm the plates would be a great place. The food generally was very tasty and innovative.
Unfortunately, the Opus restaurant is closed, and we were left without anywhere to have dinner since there are no other restaurants nearby.
Date night with my partner. only felt that the restaurant had its heating on a bit warmer, as it was a cool night and also we sat near the beginning. a little unattended how a few times had to be asked for water. eating was so delicious!
We made a reservation online using the OpenTable app, but when we arrived, the restaurant was closed. It's puzzling how the app permitted bookings when the restaurant wasn't open.
