This is one of the best restaurants in Melbourne. I recently visited an upscale restaurant in South Yarra, which was wonderful. We ordered the calamari, and I thought it was delicious, though not quite as remarkable as Jazzria. My companion agreed, but insisted that Jazzria is truly exceptional. I highly recommend trying the beschlam spinat—it's simply spinach, sauce, and garlic, but it was so good that I could have... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Jazz Ria Malaysian:
The flavors here do not reflect authentic cuisine, not even a little bit. The honey chicken was particularly disappointing and I wouldn't recommend it. I've visited many Malaysian restaurants, and this one fell short. While the chicken lobak and noodles were decent, they were definitely overpriced, especially considering there were only 2-3 pieces of garnish in the noodles. This will be our first and last visit. The satay chicken was cooked to perfection, and the satay sauce was absolutely delicious! I wasn't as fond of the roti with beef curry, as it was a bit oily for my taste, but I would definitely return to try more dishes.
A reliable favorite! The owner is incredibly welcoming and goes above and beyond for guests. The staff is excellent, and most importantly, the food is delicious. Just look at how busy it is to understand why it's a beloved local treasure!
Food here was great best Malaysian fare we've had in awhile. The lakes was a real highlight, real creamy and not overly spicy like many other places, and the lobak and satay chicken were similarly great.
I have been using Jazz Ria for years. They are reliable, responsive and very good quality. Beautiful Kantan Duck, Assam Prawns, String Bean Calamari, Beef Noodles for the kids. When we want something a cut above the average takeaway, we order from Jazz Ria.
My favourite Malaysian restaurant, been here multiple times and I have to say that everything tastes great here!! Not sure if I can choose a favourite dish... took my parents here and they loved it too, and my mum who has a MSG sensitive tummy was 100% fine eating here so it's good to know they don't rely on msg to create their magnificent flavours. The satay skewers are definitely yum to start the night off with, we always fight over the sauce! Beef rendang is amazing here I'm a pescatarian so didn't eat the meat but tried the sauce and it almost made me want to break my pescatarianism to gorge on the whole dish! Wish they had a mock meat version... The prawn har mee, the laksa, the sambal beans are all super tasty too. Service is generally good and it's got a really cute ambience with jazz background music.
