Carmine's Pizza House - Balwyn North

I pulled up outside Carmine's to pick-up a pizza I had ordered. A senior staff member came outside to have a cigarette, he then returned inside & started applying tomato paste to the pizza bases & then started putting meat on the pizza's with his hands without washing them or putting on gloves which was really disappointing to see. This showed a lack of hygiene that is expected when food handling.

Pizza in our life comes and goes. Haven't had pizza in a while, but returned to Carmines, and nothing has changed, still good pizza. It deserves your patronage. It's hard to get good pizza, and we seem to accept bad food with just a shrug of a shoulder, but this is seriously good.

If you want pizza you can taste at good prices this Balwyn institution alwys delivers. 2 family size pizzas to pick up, at $20 is really good value

Fast service and the pizza was great! There has been a big improvement since undergoing a change in ownership.

Since changing owners a few years ago and revamping itself, this place has greatly improved. We had two large pizzas for only $20, and in the past, we have also had some of their pasta dishes, which were also very good. The fact that this place is still operating, literally about 50m away from a Pizza Hut, is testament to the quality of the food. Best pizza place in North Balwyn! To top it all off, they also have free delivery.
