We stopped at Kitchen during a cycling trip along The Barrow Way. A friendly young woman took my order and brought a simple chicken sandwich (they were out of coleslaw) for my husband and a plain scone for me. I had asked for cream, but they didn’t have any. The scone had been heated in a microwave and became quite hard as it cooled. When I asked inside if the scone might be from the day before, the man behind the counter, who appeared to be in charge, immediately agreed and offered a refund — which was appreciated. I declined the refund but requested half a chicken sandwich with just one slice of bread. He promptly said this was impossible to make. Confused, I said, “Just like you would at home,” to which he replied, “You’re not at home now!” Some people really shouldn’t work in customer service. Sadly, the menu options also seemed quite limited.
I stopped by Kitchen with a friend while passing through Rathangan, feeling very hungry. Sadly, the taco chips were probably the worst I've ever tasted—the mince didn’t seem real and was truly awful. The staff were friendly, but the food was disappointing.
The welcoming staff and laid-back ambiance make this restaurant an excellent option. With a diverse menu, outstanding coffee, and great value, it's definitely worth stopping by.
I stopped by this café while passing through town. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. I ordered a toasted chicken and stuffing sandwich, which arrived quickly and tasted wonderful. I highly recommend this café.
