While the wine and location receive high praise, the food itself can sometimes be lacking in flavor and satisfaction. However, the friendly staff and cozy atmosphere make for a pleasant dining experience overall. Despite some inconsistencies in service and food quality, many guests find themselves returning for another visit, whether it be for a special occasion or a casual night out with friends. With a variety of dishes to try, Barn & Co remains a popular choice for locals and visitors alike.
Dropped in for a quick Saturday night dinner and had a great night. We have special dietary requirements which were handled so well. The chef even came to the table to discuss his ideas. Everything was delicious and the whole family enjoyed their meals. We went with lots of shared plates. Pizzas, scallops, Brussel sprouts, empanadas, stuffed field mushrooms, potatoes will a yummy smokey romesco and aioli and a rocket salad. We ended up staying on and enjoying a Foxeys sticky with our dessert. Such a great local.
Went for lunch the meal was nice but the service was terrible we arrived and told where the table was, we had to get extra menus ourselves, no cutlery on table, went to get a drink at the bar was asked was I paying the bill, I only wanted a drink ordered a soft drink glass not filled to top and drink flat. Had to keep asking waitress for water, meal came out didn't have cutlery had to ask got told have to wait for the dishwasher to finish...by the time we got cutlery some of the meals where cold. Some had tongs with their food....Yes they where busy but they had plenty of waiters just standing around in the corner. Where told at the start full table service for food and drinks, never happened for the drinks we had to go to the bar each time...toilets where disgusting bins overflowing mess all over the floor heard many people comment on state of toilets. Very very disappointed
Lunch for a special occasion. Relaxed, efficient service, quality food and wine. Probably our 6th visit and can't wait for our 7th. Won't max out the card either. Very reasonably priced. Thanks and see you soon.
This was our second visit - we invited our adult daughter ( a great cook and avid foodie) to join us for Sunday lunch. We arrived early but were welcomed inside by very friendly staff. The food was very, very good and lived up to our representations to our daughter. The entrees were the 'stand-outs'. Delightful room.We recommended Barn & Co to friends who went there for an anniversary celebration and loved the place
Barn & Co is great for special occasions.Food and wine selection was great, the place is very well looked after and has a nice calm feeling to it.This place would be great for weddings, as it would fit a nice number of guests. The only downer was when booking the staff didn't mention that there would be a surcharge for public holidays, We unfortunately went on a public holiday and got stung with a surcharge of nearly $100, which made our expensive dinning out experience even more expensive. I understand why business do the whole surcharge thing but knowing before booking would of been nice. Night came to over $150 per person, and that wasn't even a 3 course meal.
