Incredibly good fish and chips, probably the best I’ve ever eaten. Owner Hugh O’Donnell is also extremely friendly and personable, a delight to spend time talking with.

Used to love this takeaway, in the past two months we ordered their fish and chips. over the years we would stop here from time to time on the way home on a Friday evening after shopping in Clonmel. Our experiences were always good, we would order anything from fish, chicken, burgers and sausages. However, in the past few months I've notice the quality of the food and portion size have declined and prices have risen and after given them another try today we won't be back I'm sorry to say. A few week ago we stopped in and ordered 2 fish and 1 chip the fish were half the size the used to be and the cost had gone up. Today, we stopped in and ordered 2 fresh cod and 1 chip cost €19.30 in times passed the portion would be 1 half of a fish so 2 fish would be two half portions. Today, it was one half portion divided into two pieces, over cooked and the chips undercooked. I don't mind paying for the food as I do understand that the cost of everything has gone up, but for my money I expect the food to be cooked properly and not one half portion divided by two over cooked.

What has happened to this takeaway. I raved about it to everyone. Last night I got a takeaway and to say I was disappointed was an understatement. Missing parts of my order, food was overcooked. Very unsatisfied

Came into this chipper to find the manager abusing his staff members with complete disrespect. never again will i enter this chipper. 0/10 for lack of human for hard working staff.

Clerihan is a few miles outside Clonmel on the way to Cashel. It's also home to Tipperarys best kept secret. The food is always super fresh and great value. The menu is massive and excellent value for money. The fish is always fresh and delicious
