Though the atmosphere is inviting for families and couples alike, the long wait times during busy hours can be off-putting. Despite the charm of its history and some standout dishes, inconsistency in food quality and service leaves many unsure about returning to this proud Greek family café.

The restaurant served a delicious Bacon Spinach Frittata, made with the TIA Blend from Coastal Coffee Roasters, which was fresh and well-seasoned. Although the Carrot Cake was not fresh and lacked flavor, the cream cheese frosting was tasty. The service was fast and friendly. The restaurant's breakfast options seem popular and well-presented. Next time, I plan to try the award-winning cheese cake at the Johannesburg branch, as it is possible that both locations share the same recipe.

The welcome was not what we anticipated, however once we were settled down it went smooth...This place is elegant with an awesome vibe. Went for lunch and the food was amazing. Their chicken wrap and bunny chow were absolutely incredible! This lone visit has made this one of my favorite spots within Ballito.
The new custard range at this restaurant is a must-try, especially their famous custard slices. They have expanded their menu to include a variety of custard treats, such as the hot custard bougatsa and custard-filled chocolate croissant. These desserts were filled with a generous portion of decadent custard that was delicious. It's worth the price to indulge in such fresh and tasty custard. Overall, this restaurant has done a great job in creating an innovative and delicious selection of custard treats.
