Racers Cafe - Ballarat

The restaurant has a pleasant appearance and the food was decent, but the service was quite disappointing. When we were seated, I ordered an iced chocolate, and after some time, we placed our food order—but the drink never arrived. When our food came, I inquired about my drink and was informed that there was a backlog, even though other tables that had arrived after us were receiving their drinks. After finishing our meal, I went to pay and asked about the missing drink. The staff simply said not to worry, as I wouldn’t have to pay for it. Of course, I wouldn’t pay for something that I never received!

Update: I also tried their strawberry milkshake, which was fantastic! However, I did feel a little overlooked; we didn't receive menus until we expressed that we wanted more than just coffee, and then it took a while for them to take our order.

This is a fantastic spot for coffee or a satisfying lunch. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating with lovely views of Lake Ballarat. Food: 4/5 Service: 5/5 Atmosphere: 4/5.

I give one star due to the culture for staffs at Racers Cafe. What I observed was poor management and staff conflict. Brodie's law does not exist at Racers Cafe. I would never recommend anyone work in this culture at Racers Cafe. Clean up the bullying and harassment within your team. Perfect place for lunch by Lake Wendouree. Inside can be a little noisy when it's busy. The food is great, service really good. You can enjoy a glass of wine there as well. Just cross the road and you're at the lake, perfect! Meal type: Lunch Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
