As I just said we go here at least once per month and always have a reasonable meal. The last time we went was a week ago and had a nice time.It is actually worth becoming a member as with the discounts you get on your meals and drinks you actually make back your membership fee on your first night.Fantastic value and now that they have the girls back as waitresses things are on the up. The blokes they had serving wer... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about North Ballarat Sports Club:
Unfortunately for the second time this month the meals have been below average. Had the fish in batter which was soggy and under cooked, good service let down by poor cooking skills, salad and chips were fine. My partner had salt and pepper squid which you actually had to add salt to, just hoping chef was again having a bad night. View all feedback.
We waited 90 mins for our meal. Staff were very nice but they took forever. We were going to get deserts but decided against that because we were no interested in wait longer.
Probably one of the worst experiences I have ever had the North Ballarat Sports Centre , home of the Roosters, forgot one thing customer service. After being almost frisk searched by the receptionist at the front for our vaccination status we were then escorted to lucky number table 13. There will be a delay with meals as we are short staffed due to Covid the caveat was given as soon as we sat down. That’s okay I said we are watching our daughter train on the oval for the next 30 minutes so we will order now and it should be ready by then. Two parmigianas , a tandoori chicken burger and a open steak sandwich please, entree of garlic bread. The people around happily eating their meals. 70 minutes later when everyone else was eating desert we had just had our garlic bread and we were all getting hangry at our table. A look of surprise from the waitress when I said we had received no meals and she said I will check with the kitchen, which had shut 20 minutes earlier. She then comes out with a alleged meal that looked like it had just been served off the floor of the establishment. The fried egg was burnt, the bacon could have been the sole of my shoe and the steak was unrecognisable as steak. Here you go she happily says. No my dear I say I want four meals and not that rubbish you are trying to pass off as good as I point at the unidentified fried object in front of me. Oh she says astonished we have just been so slammed she offers. Really? I say because everyone else has their meal. If you are that slammed don’t open the kitchen. What a terrible ditch water excuse ! Really? I want a refund I say we are leaving. She gives me back 90 bucks because we are the 15 dollar garlic bread. Great customer service my dear. I’ll get the manager to call you , well I am still waiting sister. Terrible service, terrible food, terrible staff would not throw water on the place if it I was on fire. Obviously the pokies machines are all you have ever cared about anyway as you send people to destitution with your one armed bandits. I wonder why your VFA side folded? Mismanagement? Really? Shock and horror. Never again will I go near your establishment and I will tell everyone in the greater Ballarat region this story. You are a disgrace and have always been an elitist establishment. Yeah right! More like captive geriatric audience. Horrible bistro, horrible oval to play football on, and I have no idea why the Western Bulldogs would grace your door. Get professional or get out.
Dinner at the North Sports is always a pleasure. The summer menu has just been released and offers some great salads. We go for the steaks, which are cooked to perfection and are accompanied by a fresh salad and chips. I have tried pizzas, parmas and other items on the menu and have never been disappointed. We find the Seniors Menu is great and inexpensive for lunch, but we like a larger meal for dinner. The beer is always cold and the staff are welcoming and friendly. We now have the option of The Terrace for outside dining and the Rebellion BBQ adding another dimension to the venue. Great Club, great food and drinks and excellent staff...
I stopped by for lunch on a chilly day in Victoria. They had a nice variety of dishes as well as menus for seniors and kids. The staff was friendly, and the dining area was pleasant, if not extraordinary. You order at the register and your meal is brought to your table. They have a full bar with a good selection of drinks. The food came out hot and the portions were generous, although the chips were just okay. Prices were average, around $25-30 for a meal and drinks.
We arrived late for dinner and found that the restaurant had a limited menu, but that was not a problem as we both really enjoyed our meals. The restaurant is attached to the football stadium and has a nice club atmosphere. All I needed was good food, cold beer, slot machines that paid out, a TAB, and friendly staff.
