Ballan Bakery
Ballan Bakery
Description
Nestled in Ballan, this bakery offers an inviting atmosphere with a friendly staff dedicated to serving freshly baked pies, pastries, and coffee. While some patrons appreciate the vibrant service and enjoy flavorful options like the curry pie and light, flaky pastries, others have expressed disappointment over inconsistent quality, particularly with pie crusts that can be too soft. Consecutive years of declining service have deterred some regulars, yet many still find the bakery a charming alternative to fast food on the highway. Overall, it remains a popular spot with the potential to delight those willing to explore its offerings.

I stumbled upon this bakery by accident, and I'm so glad I did! It's a fantastic little spot with beautiful pies, pastries, and delightful bread and cakes. Be sure to try the curry pie—it's absolutely delicious!
Worth a detour off the Western Highway and a much better option than McDonald's or Roadhouse food. The friendly ladies who operate the business with a smile always offer freshly baked pies and more but I like the pies quick service, good coffee and both indoor and outdoor dining. I thoroughly recommend Ballan Bakery.
As an extension of Daylesford Bakery, this charming little shop offers a selection of basic breads, cakes, lunch rolls, and pies. While it may be a bit unusual and on the pricey side to pay extra for toppings on a schnitzel roll, the flavors are delightful, the ingredients are fresh, and the portions are generous.
