We spent about 48 hours in this area, and this inn offered the best variety of vegan food we've encountered anywhere. You don't even have to stay overnight to enjoy a meal here. The chili was quite spicy, which we loved, and there was even a vegan dessert option, although it was sold out by the time we got there. If we return to this beautiful part of the Highlands, this would definitely be our first stop. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Clachaig Inn:
Had dinner with my husband here, me opting for soup while he chose a burger. The place was quite crowded but the food was filling and decent, and I particularly enjoyed the day 's ginger and sweet potato soup. The burger was 'ok I guess ' according to my husband, but he was pleased enough with it as it filled him. A remote location with no chance to reserve a table, so we were lucky to secure one upon entering. A goo... View all feedback.
We spent about 48 hours in this area and this Inn had the most vegan food variety of any place we ate, and you don't have to be staying overnight to eat there. The chili was legitimately spicy (a good thing for us! , and there was even a vegan dessert item though it was sold out by the time we got there. I absolutely love this place! We were camping nearby and decided to venture down here for dinner in the pouring rain, as cooking on our camping stove was not an option in that weather. Since we had our dog with us, we opted to sit at the boat bar, and it had such a wonderful atmosphere with a pool table and a cozy fireplace. The service was quick, and I ordered the vegan chili, among other options on the menu. The chili was just the right level of spiciness, which I really enjoyed!

My mother, who is definitely not a vegetarian, and I tried the vegan haggis, and even she thought it was amazing! They also offer a vegan cheddar sandwich, a falafel and spinach burger, vegan chili, and desserts. Today, their special was a delicious vegan lentil soup. The staff was very accommodating, and the views were spectacular. I also recommend going for a hike in the nearby area. This review was updated on June 4, 2023.
The atmosphere is excellent, and the food is stunning. It's one of the best vegan haggis dishes I've ever tasted!
