Great local beer, food is delicious and very big plates. Strongly recommend seafood chowder!
Great fish and chipsThe fish seems to be home made, and the chips from a bagColeslaw appeared to be hand made.
The service was extremely friendly and so helpful with good character.
If you drive up and see the ferry just leaving, you have 50 minutes for a quick bite or drink at the Dock'n'Duck pub next to the ferry staging area. If the ladies want to go shopping, head over for a quick beer on the patio as long as someone else is driving.
My wife got the seafood chowder, and it was excellent. Her salad was average. The kids menu was over priced, well, so was the adult menu. The kids said their pizza was "crappy" and they are usually easy to please with just a frozen pizza. I got the vegetable stir fry, which had decent flavour, but the vegetables were over cooked and it was drowning in the sauce. (I think the sauce should flavour the rice. The rice should not swim in it.) The servers were fine, but seemed overworked. (We only saw two on the patio.) So I guess our substantial bill was paying for the view, as it did not seem to apply to the food. We would not go back.
The Dock 'N' Duck restaurant offers a mixed bag of reviews from visitors. Feedback suggests that the seafood chowder and salt and pepper ribs were delicious, but other menu items like burgers and fish and chips left something to be desired. While the service and atmosphere received positive remarks, the pricing seemed inconsistent with the quality of the food. Despite some disappointment, there are still patrons who appreciate the fantastic lakefront patio and welcoming staff. With varying experiences, it seems the Dock 'N' Duck may be hit or miss, making it worth a visit for the scenic view but with some caution about food quality.

We visited this restaurant again as we have in the past. The prices went wayyyy up !! The service was good. there were only 2 other guest at the lunch hour). Therefore Not busy. I had to ask for more coffee. We had a special request for our meal. I didn’t think it was a big deal. We asked that there would not be any green peppers on half of our sandwich. The server told us that the cook was not happy about the request and that we better Not ask for a special request again when we come back. which we will Never go back) The gentleman beside us complained that his pasta was cold and No flavor. The server just laughed and said she would tell the cook. seriously would Not recommend this restaurant!!
Great food even though it was later in the evening great food, great waiter. My wife was shocked at the size of here pulled Pork Sandwich enormous. I had the seafood pasta great food and great taste
Great food all around! There was a group of us and everyone ordered something differnt, outstanding! Next time I visit I will order the fish burger, WOW!
Our food was average at best and over priced. Be aware that a portion of the interior has a level that is 3 or 4 inches higher than the entrance, the till and the exit to the deck. We had checked the deck then decided to go up to that level from inside the restaurant. The step off this level going towards the door to leave the restaurant is easy to miss. It is not marked or have a 'watch your step ' sign. So if you go there, be careful and watch where you step.
My burger was super dry on a cold bun, over cooked flat and it tasted like the grill not like a burger. There was more bun than burger too. 18.50 is just to much for the quality that is severely lacking. Fries were pretty good. Service was quick. Its a shame the prices do not reflect the quality of the food. Halfway through the burger i had to stop. Life is to short to eat sub par food. The excuse the staff gave me was “its been a long day and we might have rushed your order”. No discount, no apology, no refund even though i left half the meal and expressed my general dissatisfaction.

Our waiter Reggie was amazing and checked with the kitchen for the wife's allergies. The food was very solid and came out fast and hot. Would recommend to anyone in the area for a good meal in a great location
Prompt and friendly service. I'm a traveller who happened to pass by and see that this restaurant was having their re-opening day, and I'm so happy I stopped by! A must-stop for great atmosphere and food.
This is a small pub and grill that we went to while waiting for the ferry. Its one of the nicest pubs we 've been in. The staff were fast, efficient and friendly. We 're going to make it 'our ' pub when we 're in the area.

If you're in town, don't forget to stop by the little grocery store to pick up some snacks or drinks for your hotel room. They have everything you need, although the selection may be limited.
We ordered the ribs, but found them to be a bit dry although still flavorful. The service was a little slow, but the view outside was quite pleasant. Overall, we would recommend this restaurant.
