I enjoyed some incredibly delicious deep-fried pork chops along with fantastic home-style vegetables. The service was excellent; the waitresses were consistently smiling and checked on me multiple times. There’s a lovely community vibe with people coming and going, greeting both locals and travelers. I’ve visited this place about ten times throughout the years while traveling, and it has always been great. I noticed an earlier comment claiming the establishment was not welcoming to people of color, but I have never felt, sensed, or witnessed anything like that.

It’s a family-owned, local restaurant in the small town of Baldwin, conveniently located near I-10 and 301 North. The service was friendly, and they offer fantastic brewed sweet and unsweetened iced tea. The menu features a variety of options, including salads, burgers, sandwiches, and delicious Southern dishes and sides. There's truly something for everyone!
