The restaurant used to be great, but things have changed. They no longer serve pizzas, so don't rely on their website for that information. When I visited, they were out of chicken as well. I tried the fried pickles, and they were quite good. In the end, I had to get pizza from a different place.
The restaurant was unclean, with loose floor tiles. I witnessed employees arguing amongst themselves. The food took an incredibly long time to arrive—over an hour and twenty minutes—followed by an additional fifteen minutes just to get ketchup. The cost per person is around $20–30. Overall, I would rate the food a 3, the service a 1, and the atmosphere a 1. If you do decide to visit, I would recommend trying the Chicken Tenders or Kielbasa.
Old country bar/restaurant. We had the Friday night all you can eat Cod and fries, it was delicious. Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Everything you want in a bar/restaurant in Michigan. Had the homemade pierogies with mushroom sauce, YUM! Their fried mushrooms are gigantic too. The barmaids are so much fun too. have them get the shotski down for you) Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes: Barski Burger, Crab Stuffed Mushrooms, Polish Plate
**Restaurant Review: A Mixed Bag of Experiences** This restaurant offers a tempting menu featuring Polish specialties and a variety of bar food, including pierogis, burgers, and crab-stuffed mushrooms. While the food quality varies, with standout dishes like the BBQ bacon burger and Polish Plate, service issues have been reported, including long waits and understaffing during busy times. Patrons appreciate the friendly atmosphere and welcoming staff, but many have noted an inconsistent dining experience with cold or undercooked meals. Overall, while the food can be delightful, it's wise to visit with patience on busier days, especially for larger groups.

This place has really declined. At least the service. Not that busy but took 35 minutes after getting drinks to actually order food. Server is bussing tables and taking care of carry out while we're sitting. Apparently carry out is the ticket. Waiting over an hour for food while the carry outs roll. Won't be back for a while.
A little wait to get in is normal, but the food was well worth the wait. The BBQ bacon burger was very good, and the jalapeño poppers were the best I've had from a restaurant. Decent beer selection too. Will definitely stop by again. Better for groups under 5. But there were 7 of us and it worked out, just had to slip between two tables.
Been coming here for years. All I can say is food is awesome. Staff is awesome, and owner Steve is also awesome. A must stop
Another delicious dinner at Barski. Great little local bar. Food is always amazing!
As our fishing guide said... this is a place you go if you want some good quality food . And he was right. Place has a local bar feel with a polish twist. Plenty of other options if you aren 't feeling the polish food. Great spot to slide through and share the stories of how the PM treated you that day... Couple of TVs and some 90 's red wing memorabilia to make it feel like a sports bar if your favorite game is on. Keno/darts/pool table for the late evening crowd. The picture perfect upnorth vibe. Bon fire and horseshoe pit out back. Would recommend trying the kielbasa bites... deep fried with horseradish. Would suggest to add some more zest to that horsey sauce. Went with the Reuben, but totally regretted not getting the polish plate when i saw it go by to the table next to us. Great beer options, two hearted on draft. Kid friendly. Will stop in here again next year when I come up for the steelhead.

Food was great. Had the seared ahi-tuna appetizer for lunch. Others had the perch and pierogies. Every was happy with their meal. We read about the wait, so anticipation of it allows you to enjoy the food.
First time here, Got a friendly welcome from the owner. Ordered appetizers first stuffed mushrooms and huge onion Rings Soo good. By the time I got my Reuben I was stuffed. The food was delicious and the waitress and atmosphere was awesome. Definitely come here again!!
This delightful hidden gem near Baldwin is an excellent spot for Polish cuisine and bar food. Everything was fresh and delicious, and the staff was wonderful.
Be prepared to wait a bit for your food, but believe me, it’s worth it! The dishes are incredibly tasty—far better than any chain restaurant. We sampled the perch, pierogies, and ahi tuna, and everything was absolutely amazing! Just a note, my son insisted that the perch was even better than his grandpa's fresh-caught fried fish! The bread was also delightful, with a perfectly crusty exterior and a soft interior. The service was friendly, too. We waited about 50 minutes from when we walked in until our meals arrived. It was moderately busy, with only a few tables free on a Sunday around 1 or 2 PM.
This is the best bar food I've ever experienced! If you're in the area, you must stop by! I live three hours away but happened to be in this part of the state twice in two weeks, and I made sure to visit Barski on both occasions. The chicken tenders were phenomenal, and the onion rings were fresh, hand-dipped, and absolutely delicious. The service was a bit slow, but given the current challenges in the industry, the food was worth every moment of the wait! Barski is now a must-visit spot for me every time I'm on the west side of the state!

Fantastic food! My group ordered a variety of burgers and appetizers, and we enjoyed everything. The server was very attentive and provided excellent service. We definitely plan to return. We initially came to the area for ATV riding, but we might make the hour-long drive just for the food!

The menu offers a wide selection of uniquely tasty dishes. We sampled the crab-stuffed mushrooms and seared ahi tuna, and we loved dipping warm toasted baguette into our individual pan of roasted garlic. The kitchen truly knows its craft! We were served by a few different waitresses who regularly checked on us, and they were fantastic! We will definitely be coming back!
I had an amazing dining experience at a wonderful bar in North West Michigan. After driving by it numerous times on my trips up north, we finally decided to stop in, and I’m so glad we did. Although they were a bit short-staffed, the service was top-notch. The selection of beers and drinks was impressive, especially for this area. The food was exceptional—some of the best bar food I’ve ever had. Everything appeared to be made from scratch, both in looks and taste. The prices were fair considering the portion sizes and location. I highly recommend this place!
My wife and I met another couple on Saturday. My wife ordered a burger and really enjoyed it. The other couple had one steak and one perch, both of which they liked as well. I was interested in the triple pork dish, but unfortunately, they were out of pulled pork. I decided to try the chili instead, which was fantastic, but the kielbasa was disappointing—it resembled something from a gas station hot dog roller: a bit overcooked and quite small. I’m used to having kielbasa from Polish restaurants near where we live, where it's usually 10 to 12 inches long. Still feeling hungry, I went back to the campsite and made myself a burger and some kapusta.
