Was Michael Schuett at Pescatore BYOB a mag?
Omg! If you have not dined out at Pescatore BYOB. You must hurry and dine there. The food, staff, and atmosphere are awesome and amazing. Every item on the menu is recommended as well as the appetizers too, and don't forget the try chocolate layer cake, cheesecake and other deserts. View all feedback.
What Loma Trantow dislikes about Pescatore BYOB:
Went for Downtown Dining Week. This restaurant was on the $ 35 list but the service was well below that level. There was a long wait between courses, but the plates were not removed from the table until the next course arrived. Our server seemed very uninterested in our table. It also took a long time to get beverage orders delivered. New cutlery was not provided and I was specifically asked to remove my fork from th... View all feedback.

Food was delicious, pricing is reasonable, great that it is a being your own, but we did have to ask several times for an ice bucket, service was generally efficient if not very personal, ambience in the overflow room is a little lacking … but overall a good neighborhood experience.
Excellent food and service. Will definitely be going back.
Food was fabulous and the main dining room very attractive. Staff was terrific especially given that the room was short staffed.
One of our local neighborhood faves. Always enjoy ourselves
The food was great, the service was outstanding and the vibe was just right. Our party of seven was much satisfied. This was my fourth time dining here and I will be back a fifth time.
Overall, the reviews for the restaurant were mixed. Some diners had great experiences, enjoying the appetizers and entrees, praising the attentive servers and delicious food. However, others were disappointed with the service and quality of the food, with one reviewer being particularly let down by their experience during Downtown Dining Week. Issues with portion sizes, quality of dishes, and service were noted, but for many, the restaurant still held a special place in their hearts despite these shortcomings. The atmosphere and the BYOB policy were highlighted as positives, with some minor inconveniences like cold drafts and time limits on dining not deterring patrons from returning.

First visit but not the last... Great friendly staff and very good food. Quiet enough to enjoy a conversation. I had a sea bass puttanesca which was a special and it was excellent.
We used DoorDash and our meal was delicious! The chicken parm was excellent and so was the bolognese!! Highly recommend
Took my husband here for his birthday food was really good. Favors were interesting, loved the calamari and the 7 layered chocolate cake the was super rich. Overall, I enjoyed the meal and the BYOB is always a plus.
I’m 76 yo, and we go out to eat often. Just had an unrivaled meal with 4 adults and 2 children from appetizer to dessert, including the service. BRAVO Pescatore!
Food was outstanding as were the servers. Will definitely be back!

Menu offered something for everyone. Service was friendly and efficient.
Excellent neighborhood Italian restaurant. It competes well with any of the gourmet Italian restaurants in Philadelphia. Interesting, creative menu. It would definitely be more popular if it was on one of Philadelphia’s restaurant rows. A local gem.
The food was excellent and the service was too! The pasta was cooked just right, and the special dessert panna cotta was fantastic!
Great food , great atmosphere.. Been going for years for and never been disappointed
Likes the old menu much better. Food was good but miss the veal chops.

This restaurant is usually my go-to spot for dining with clients, but last night was a bit disappointing. The flatbread crab and shrimp salad lacked flavor and was messy, as if it was hastily put together with the dressing thrown on top instead of mixed in. I prefer the original dining room. When I called to request a seat there, the person on the phone gave me a hard time. Hopefully, this was just an off night because I typically love this place. Service: Dine-in.
This was our first visit to Pescatore, but it definitely will not be our last! Everything we ordered was divine. The chef must be an angel. We could smell the wonderful flavors before we walked into the restaurant. We were greeted by the most gracious host we have encountered in the Philadelphia area (and we eat out a lot! . Since we were doing takeout she took care of us. She answered our questions about the various dishes, ensured our order was correct and asked us about any extras we might need or want. We settled on the stuffed long hots, the mixed ocean grill, the chicken cacciatore and the short ribs as well as sides of broccolini, asparagus and spinach. Every single dish was exquisite. Even the bread (which looked regular, but was not was superior; light and fluffy and perfect for sopping up the excellent sauces. And the prices were unbelievably reasonable for the outstanding quality of the food. Very highly recommended.
Nailed it. As usual. My go to BYOB. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
The restaurant needs to improve on serving their customers. The food was excellent and I will come back for takeout. The food quality is a 5, but the service was a 1. The atmosphere was also a 5.
I highly recommend this cute, small restaurant with an upscale atmosphere. It's BYOB, which is a great bonus. The menu features delicious, authentic Italian dishes. The mussels were fantastic, cooked in a flavorful sauce. The linguine was amazing, and the gnocchi with lump crab meat was also very good. The dessert, particularly the limoncello cake, was delicious. Everything from the appetizers to the dessert was absolutely tasty. Overall, I would rate the food a 5 out of 5.

Of course the octopus was great. The apricot and goat cheese salad was tasty. The dorado fish special was yummy with healthy portions of fish, veggies and mashed potatoes. Also love that it's a BYOB
We had a great dinner celebrating a family birthday. Our server, Dominique, was welcoming and attentive. She made sure we heard the specials as she was opening our wine. She checked in to see if we had questions was helpful making changes to some of our orders as requested. The restaurant was not crowded but we had a nice, cozy table for our group. The last time we dined at Pescatore I felt the silverware plates were low-level institutional. I was pleasantly surprised that the tableware had been upgraded. From appetizer to dessert, our meals were delicious. Highlights include the daily special arroncini the watermelon salad (minus crab due to sensitivity). The lobster gnocchi was fantastic, as was the veal Mia. Dominique presented our son with a mini cannoli candle before dessert, which was appreciated. The strawberry tiramisu mocha cheesecake ended our meal on deliciously sweet note. We will return!

The food was phenomenal. We had the calamari, Burrata crostini, lobster and crab gnocchi, Sunday gravy and kids pasta. All was excellent. Dominique was our server and she was super attentive and thoughtful, especially considering how young our kids are. Made sure food came out quickly for them. They had coloring for the kids which we loved. We tried a bunch of deserts and all were to die for. Can't wait to return.
We love this place! Excellent food, specials are always phenomenal!
