I think the food here in general is very good. I always get the same thing which is the salad with Portobello mushrooms, arrugula, and parmesan cheese. It is terrific. They marinate the mushrooms and they are awesome. Given that it is in Bal Harbour, the prices are quite reasonable. A nice location and pleasant to sit outside, even though off the parking area. What Ben doesn't like about Carpaccio:
We had dinner on Sunday February 3, waiter was Milton D, and we had to ladies from Italy as our guest. The total was 138.80 and I added a tip of 18.70 on my credit card charge. The waiter came back telling me the following: Sir, the tip is not added here, you are supposed to put at least 21 in this case or has something not been OK? I added some cash. Stopped in for a quick bite today at Bal Harbor. The quality of the food and the presentation were lacklustre. The burrata is what I would imagine if a blind person who has never seen a burrata before decided to make one. The 4 cheese pizza was ok but nothing special. I?ve also never had an espresso that was a full cup of watered down coffee. I?m hoping this was just an off day as I could not figure out how this place was so highly rated.
A great experience! Sitting outside was a nice touch and great atmosphere with great service and excellent food! All these things have to merge to make it a great dining area. While you must obviously have, what?s in the restaurant name, Carpaccio! Have delicious food and dessert to close a delicious dinner!
Service is always good. The food was too salty, but fair. We had no problem getting a big table on Friday night.
During the stay in Bal Harbour we have tried many different restaurants. Carpaccio is my favorite. A meal as easy as a cheese pizza for lunch has thrown me away. It was the best cheese pizza I had. My friend said the Pollo Piccata was amazing. If it is a beautiful day, I would strongly recommend sitting outside looking at the Valet. If you like cars, you will enjoy watching the luxury cars like Ferrari, Lamborghini, Rolls Royce, etc.
Carpaccios has never disappointed us about one of our Miami stays. Lived atmosphere, but worth every minute! The Lychee Martinis are the best I ever had. You will always find some leaks on their menu servers to wish. I'm a fan. Very recommended.
