What a gem of a restaurant! The portions are generous and the food is fantastic. My husband, daughter, and I enjoyed a Sunday dinner and would definitely recommend it. The café has implemented a series of COVID-19 safety measures, including the usual health checks upon arrival, and all employees wore personal protective equipment. The large serving area is shielded with perspex. Guests are called to their tables at staggered times to ensure social distancing, and they can choose their meals from a wonderful selection (the food is plated by the staff). The desserts were just as delicious as the main courses. The carvery is £8 for adults, with discounted prices for seniors and children. Our entire meal, including desserts and soft drinks, cost us just £33. Incredible value for the quality!

I had a wonderful roast meal here today. It's definitely a good idea to make a reservation. We had one gluten-free vegetarian and two meat-eaters in our group, and everyone was well taken care of. Martin and his team went above and beyond to ensure our gluten-free friend was safe and satisfied, all while maintaining a great sense of humor and professionalism. Despite how busy the restaurant was, they handled everything with ease, even engaging in a pleasant conversation. The young man clearing tables also had a smile and a kind word for everyone. And the gluten-free banoffee pie? Absolutely yes!
