Skillets Diner - Bakersfield

The Chicken Cobb salad was delicious! The spicy fries were not what we expected; they should be called buffalo fries instead.

This restaurant was really good. The staff was friendly and attentive. Our server, CeAnn, was amazing. The skillets were good, but could have used more gravy. The Ruben sandwich was excellent, the best he's had. The French toast could have used a bit more egg in the batter but had great flavor. The interior was very pretty. The rest of the staff was friendly and the host was nice. It was our first time there, but we felt welcomed and appreciated. The prices were great for the quality of food and style of the restaurant. The food was hot, timely, and beautifully presented. We will definitely be returning.

The dining experience was fantastic, the waitress was very friendly, but there seemed to be a lack of support staff. The waitress was left to handle everything on the floor, from taking orders to serving coffee and bringing extra napkins.

I visited this restaurant for the first time and I was not impressed. We arrived at 12 o'clock on Friday and it was not very busy, with only about 5 tables, most of which already had their food. The service was slow and it took at least 25-30 minutes to receive our orders of a burger and a French toast combo. The food arrived slightly warm and tasted okay, but nothing particularly outstanding. The burger, which I ordered medium, was pretty good. Overall, there are much better restaurants in Bakersfield.

I had a delicious Cobb salad and my server, Ceann, was very friendly. The other servers also seemed eager to assist each other and ensure that customers were satisfied. The servers named Gretchen and Belle were especially helpful. I look forward to returning to this restaurant!
