no care. I was a native here, eating was amazing. until last night when I got the prepared oysters. the garnels in the kevich were not desecrated and the oyster shells were muddy/spicy. I didn't know until I wiped my hands on serviette. this was the 2nd most expensive item on the menu and it is raw seafood. if they do not take the time to clean and prepare their seafood, to be particularly raw and expensive, they are... This place is a great way to spend the day in Mexico while in Bakersfield. The food, the drinks, the people, and most definitely the live music! A lot of great seafood on the menu, but your old standbys are here as well. I was here on Labor Day, it was awesome! I had the aguachilies and a fried quail. This is my new go to spot when passing thru Bakersfield.
Really good place good environment staff really friendly food delicious this is my second time and I really enjoy their food and the service
Amazing drinks even more amazing seafood, loved it!!!! The waitress was amazing, very accommodating, made recommendations and build an amazing jalapeño margarita.
Great place, the food and drinks were amazing. The waiting time to be seated on a Sunday was good, probably just waited around 10 minutes or less. I would go back again to order their tacos gobernador. The cóctel de camarones were good too.
My husband went for some drinks with friends here and brought me a to go order of shrimp cocktail home. I was so excited since it is one of my favorites. After bragging to my coworkers all day about my lunch, I bring out the styrofoam container and all the fixings. They did not skimp on the fixings! It had tiny limes, ketchup and Tapatio packets, salt, saltine crackers, tostada shells and a good, deep spoon-perfect for cocktails and soups! I got my cocktail all doctored up and was juuuust about to scoop a huge portion into my watering mouth when I seen it...the black, nasty, dreaded vein down the back of the shrimp! I was pissed and seriously thought about tossing the whole container straight into the trash but I was so hungry. So I began to take each one out and cut the veins out of all 15 shrimp. I should have begun this review by stating that I seldom get shrimp dishes from restaurants because of this very thing...I hate to have to use my hands to cut out the veins or cut the tails off of shrimp once the meal is cooked. Plus I feel like if I'm paying good money, that is something that should be done before it makes it to my plate! I just don't understand how a restaurant thinks it is okay to have the vein stay in the shrimp when they know what it is, or keep the tails on when they know you aren't supposed to eat them! Anyway I cleaned each one of the shrimp and washed them off, which also washed all the flavor away. Needless to say after I finished cleaning them all and put them back into the cocktail I was not only disgusted but no longer hungry.
