What Bob Trammell doesn't like about El Pollo Loco:
We used to eat at this restaurant 2 to 3 times a week. However, they have been making changes to their menu that we don't find favorable. Some of the staff at the register have trouble with communication. The limited number of tables means that sometimes you have to eat outside, which is not ideal in the winter or summer. This is one of the few places to get healthy food fast for a reasonable price. I do wish they had some spicier sauces. Pretty tame hot sauce, not loco. The new wings and tapatillo fries are very good, lots of flavor. The double chicken tostada is my favorite. A little tip for eating it (see pic) flip it upside down. Plate underneath because the lid has small holes. They do often get my order wrong/forget items/sauces
I'm a customer I've known for over 25 years. Always great food and good service. Until 27 August. I went through the drive as usual. A sign said there was only cash. I had no money. Then I parked and went with my service dog to go to my food. Even if I have a small service dog, I never want to expose people by in restaurants. This time I had to. I was hit by the fact that they wouldn't take my job from a rude employee. I explained everything above. I still refused. I asked for a manager and never in my life I was treated so rudely. Then I told her all upstairs. She hated my order, but was so rude. I was very embarrassed because they were busy and everyone was watching. Just because my disability is not obvious how when I was blind or in a wheelchair and my dog is small, it doesn't mean I'm not disabled. They need to educate their employees. I called her customer service to complain and no call back 5 days later. In all my years, only my second time to bring the dog to a restaurant. The other time was a very nice sit-down restaurant in Bakersfield and I called to tell them the situation and they were very welcome to me and my dog. Not to mention that the cost of her family meal in El Pollo had risen more than 5 dollars and was afraid to eat the food that the rude manager would have done because she was honestly so bad.
My man ordered straight chicken and mc and cheese, salat, burrito. After the dame got his card, my man asks for salsa and salat dress. she said everything in the bag. when he came home there was nothing at all, and we all sit in the table, ready to eat! how can they not watch, just terrible customer service?
Came through the journey through about 9 o'clock and must have a baptism of thrown away food. what I did was great. hard churros, nasty old salat for loco salat, double chicken dish was cold and tacos al carbon tortillas were stale. because of such dreadful eating I will not return to el pollo loco
Fast and friendly staff. every time I'm there, my order is always ready for pickup.
