Denny's - Bakersfield

Jennifer working Nov 1st 2022 (around 11 pm) is an amazing employee but most of all great person. My power went out I’m in a high risk pregnancy and I have a toddler. When getting too scared to stay home I decided to go wait at dennys and treat myself and toddler to a hot chocolate while waiting for my husband to close down a restaurant he manages. Half way thru the trip my son fell asleep and my neighbor called to let me know the power is back on so I can come home. Well with gas being so high and being at the 7th standard light I needed that hot chocolate but was in a dilemma my toddler fast asleep baby kicking hard and the website wouldn’t take my card. I called and Jennifer answers she took my hot choc curbside order ran it out to me in less then 5 minutes on top of being busy! Superb service! I’m switching from Starbucks just because of Jennifer! I’ll be calling to let Arlene the manager know tomorrow as well. Jennifer is a true gem! Came in 12/8/23 and had a much needed breakfast alone. When I was younger and I saw others sitting I’d think how sad but now as an adult sometimes you need that alone time. With that being said I’d like to thank Arlene and Sonia for taking care of me while I had a nice quiet breakfast. The crispy bacon and hashbrowns were delicious and finished that plate. Had about 3 cups of coffee and was always filled up keeping it hot throughout my whole breakfast this morning! That kind of customer service is rare to find these days. Thank you Sonia and Arlene for my whole experience today. You ladies rock!

Shawn is the BEST server ever. He anticipates needs, checks in frequently, and glasses are never empty.

A good sturdy dependable restaurant to stop at when you are traveling and in need of breakfast. The servers are nice but it always seems understaffed to me because I end up waiting 10-20 minutes sometimes for basic refills or to ask for a condiment.
