Passing through town on a long drive. Good service, friendly staff and food was good. Served quickly and food was hot. Mcafe attached served nice flat white's and hot chocolate drinks. Bathrooms were clean. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about McDonald's Bairnsdale:
Not sure if this is the way it's done in Victoria or just Bairnsdale, but we ordered chips and gravy and were given a number for our table! The girl then brought our food to us! The food was just like any other maccas but this was just a little bizarre! :D View all feedback.
We did not receive everything we ordered. We were missing 4 orders of chips. It was very disappointing to arrive home and not have all of the food we had ordered.
A group of eight people over 50 visited the restaurant. Three couples had trouble using the self-order machines and opted to order at the counter instead. One couple used the machine but paid with cash. After a long wait, we were eventually served individually. There was confusion with order numbers, and I had to retrieve my order from the counter after it was called out. Another couple had their order mistakenly brought to our table, and the employee just left it there without checking who it belonged to. Despite some couples experiencing smooth transactions at the counter, the couple paying with cash had to wait a long time and eventually had to line up to pay before receiving their order. The lack of clear instructions on the ordering process was frustrating. Additionally, there were scooters blocking the walkway at the entrance, posing a safety hazard. We have decided not to return to the restaurant, as the service was not up to par with our past experiences. We hope that the restaurant brings back customer service counters and eliminates half of the self-order machines to improve the overall customer experience. It is important to prioritize excellent customer service to attract more patrons. Ultimately, the restaurant has lost eight customers due to these issues.
In frustration, I contacted the Sydney headquarters to file a complaint. After some persistence, the store manager in Bairnsdale agreed to have the shift manager email me a written apology. However, it took multiple follow-ups before I finally received the apology, which was riddled with grammatical and spelling errors. It was disappointing to see such lack of professionalism from a global corporation. Overall, this experience served as a reminder that customer service standards have declined. After days of frustration and a lackluster apology, I have decided to take my business elsewhere. I will not be returning to this McDonald's location.
Food came out quick, but very oily. Sat here for 20mins not one staff member came to clear anything or wipe the tables, not even when they delivered the food. Another couple walked in had to try find a clean well cleaner looking table to sit at. Management needs to get on top of this, seems behind the counter was clean can’t say the same about the customer side. 7 staff on not one cleaning the floor, really?
Ordered Egg and Sausage muffin Breakfast but I got nuggets and chips awful. Cost me $9 for something I could not eat
