Shows the best wine tasting I've ever seen in Wisconsin. I know many come to Door County area for the fruit wines, although I appreciate a nice dry red and wow they knock it out of the park. The wines are complex and well thought out. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. 100% will return! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Stone's Throw Winery:
We had a group of 10 wine lovers for a wine tasting. Our two designated drivers planned to share Sips with the samplers of their women (safety first) and were very often told by the woman in the sampling room that sharing was not allowed. We had to order our wine at the same time so that she could all pour us at the same time. I'm not sure what she thought of our group, but she was very controversial. We went immedia... Excellent wine, excellent service! If you are looking for a fantastic wine tasting- stones throw is the place to be .
Visited this summer on 2 separate occasions. Was disappointed in the service we received. Both times noticed others received great service around us while our party did not. We will not be back.
Excellent service. Well crafted wines with California grapes. Highly recommended especially if you like fine wine.
We 've been coming to this winery for the past 3 years and today was our last time. The owner, Russell didn 't say hi or acknowledge us. I came with my husband, our dog and baby in the stroller. I walked in with the stroller and followed the blonde waitress, for the next couple minutes I stood there waiting and my husband waiting outside with our dog while Russell and the waitress tried to figure out where to put us...Russell made us feel very unwelcome and like it was an inconvenience to seat us with our stroller and dog. There were also many open seats. So finally he said, I guess just put them there... He then asked if we are drinking only or eating and drinking. I said, probably just drinking. And his response was: that was the wrong answer... The hour we were there Russell stopped at every table to say hi and chat except ours, there were 4 tables total. We 've never felt so unwelcome in Door County. We are never going back and will be giving our business to other wineries, along with our friends and family.
Amazing wine, extremely knowledgeable staff, a beautiful outdoor patio, you can't have a bad time here. I suggest starting with a wine tasting (only $14 for 5 pours) then grabbing a seat outside. The wine is the best in Door County, but more importantly, it's just fantastic wine in general.
