Contractor has accepted payment, but not completed the work or returned calls/emails. We purchased a home that was missing a glass panel for the shower in the master bathroom. The work had already been contracted out to DMV Doors and Windows by the seller. The seller paid half, with the understanding we would pay the other half upon completion of the work. After the purchase went through, the contractor called me to let me know he needed to remeasure the room. He arrived an hour and a half late to the appointment, took the measurements, and scheduled a follow up appointment. Then we lost all contact with him and he failed to show up at the follow up appointment. For the last two weeks, we have called, emailed, and texted him without response. We still cannot use the shower and have no indication from him that the work will be completed, despite the fact that the contractor has already been partially paid for the work.
