What SueB doesn't like about Afternoon Tea At Pennyhill Park:
The room was quite cold, as all the doors to the reception area were left open. The sandwich and cake display was beautiful, but we weren't fans of the festive decorations on the jam and macaroons. By the time we got to the top tier of treats, we had reached our limit and ended up taking the leftovers home. We came to the afternoon to the birthday of my sister, whom I had organized a few months earlier. the lady who looked around us was nice and I couldn't blame her, but there were a few problems. there was brokkoli stuck in the teekanne that had mom sister, some of our cakes were extremely dry as it was a part of the brotes with our sandwiches. the table runner was so stunned that I was so shocked that it was not corrected before the people came to the restaurant! for almost 200 for three people I expected more sad. I wouldn't go back for the afternoon.
A lovely afternoon tea. The food was delicious and we were given extra sandwiches. We couldn’t finish the cakes and we were given them in a box to take home. We had the Ascot tea and the waiter explained all about the drinks, which was a lovely touch. We have been before and will certainly go again.
We have been to a Pennyhill park many times for their delicious afternoon tea- but we both agreed this was the best yet- thank you to all the staff for a wonderful experience
We booked afternoon tea to celebrate my mums 70th birthday. Nothing was too much trouble and they changed our table for one with different chairs with no fuss at all. The food was delicious and we were to take home anything we didn't manage to eat. Would highly recommend.
Over rated, expensive and trading on prior reputation. Left my mother sitting in a corner whilst telling me she hadn't arrived and worrying. One of us received our champagne, took 10 mins for the other to arrive. No starter and then 35 mins from receiving pot of tea when 2nd champagne arrived really?! to getting any food. And then a service charge on top. Disgusting.
