If you're near Bagni di Lucca at lunch time you can't get better. Different menu each day, great local cooking and really friendly staff. Local workers and residents have their lunch here every day...that speaks volume View all feedback.

This restaurant is family run it is very friendly. The decor is charming suave stylish as is the fayre. We were first invited many years ago by English friends and an Italian cousin I remember that we even once played tombola there one Easter. This restaurant has now returned to the daughter of the owner having been run for a few years by other people. It is a family friendly venue with typical Tuscan food. No more TVs so it is a lot quieter than before. The Bar is as usual right next to the eating area so on busy days you can opt to have coffee at the bar. It offers a good dining experience as most restaurants in the area.
This is real italian cooking. Elisa in the kitchen making amazing dishes for lunch everyday Mon-Sat. The menu changes each day and is listed on a blackboard. It is difficult to translate, because the names are names of dishes and not ingredients, but they are very helpful and do their best to explain/describe the dishes. We ate everyday for lunch and had amazing food. Everything was delicious. You can't make a wrong choice. The restaurant is at the back of the establishment. The front is open all day and serves drinks, coffee and snacks. It has been in the family for three generations.
We stumbled on this little place and at first it didn't look too promising just pastries and pizza to see at the front of the shop. We were led through to the restaurant at the back, which is plain and unfussy but clean. It soon filled up all locals here to eat from the day's choices chalked on the board. No prices to see and no translations, but you can work most of it out. My parmigiana melanzane was so delicious if you've tried it in a chain Italian in the UK you'll know it's layers of aubergine, tomato and cheese. This was so much better than any previously tried versions. OH's omelette with courgette and leeks (we think) was also very good. If we hadn't been saving ourselves for dining out in the evening, we'd have tried their homemade gnudi, or gnocchi, or pastas ... These all looked fabulous. OH had a couple of glasses of local red (also good), we also had water, tea and coffee. Oh and the breads were also fabulous. Total under 13 euros unbelievably good value. We'd go back if we weren't staying too far away.
This restaurant is small but has great food. The front has pizza and sandwiches and the restaurant is in the back. The service was a bit slow but the food and prices were great! I would highly recommend this restaurant.
