Ate lunch here on the day the Tour de France came through the village and we were looking for somewhere a little quieter than the overcrowded restaurants on the main street. What a gem of a find it was. The quality of the food was well beyond our expectations and very reasonably priced. It was very refreshing to find a restaurant in the heart of a tourist village, during one of the busiest weeks of the summer, where... View all feedback.
What Paige Block doesn't like about Hotel Restaurant les deux nations:
Nous venons d y séjourner 4 jours en famille.La restauration est excellente qualité prix rien à dire en demi pension et pdj.L accueil est inconstant ,parfois la patronne est très sympa, parfois elle est hyper désagréable ,difficile à cerner.Pour le logement ,il vaut mieux ne pas être difficile, chambres avec vielles moquettes au sol et murales infâmes et usées sales, sanitaires hors norme, les genoux dans le lavabo pour... A large group of us were in Luchon for the week; we ended up gong back to this place three times. It was far and away our favourite place to eat. The menus did not offer too much and the food took a while to come; both of these things I take as a good sign! The food was freshly made for you and was attractively presented. Menus typically featured local produce e.g. fromage de chevre or trout from the local fishery. Those if us who had the faux filet like it bleu, which you can only risk if the quality of the meat and the preparation is top notch; it was. Despite all this, it was not expensive. We were a large party and they looked after us very well.
Fantastic service, beautiful and tasty food and on top of that the waiter was brilliant. He was the only one serving the whole resturant and he couldn't have done a better job! We went there on a saturday night so we were lucky to get a table since we hadn't reserved. We chose the saint valentine menu, it was very well composed, however it was just a little too much for me and i saw a few other people struggled to finish the 5th course. This is not a complaint though, the quality was outstanding: aperitif, foie gras, seafood, a good cut of meat and a home made desert!! Wine was included and a kir to begin with. They did an excellent job, just a little too generous ! The price was unbeatable: 32€ each, this was a meal i won't forget!
How ice to find such a welcome, such good food and fairly low prices, on a rainy saturday evening when all other places were packed with waiting customers. So nice was the place that we decided to return the following day !
Excelente lunch we all enjoyed the delicious well prepared plates and impeccable service A restaurant a little off the main path worth to visit Very good food at an Affordable price
Cuisine classique mais bonne et copieuse. Beaucoup d habitués visiblement. Menu à 19 euros très satisfaisant rapport qualité pris.
