My Google Review 000045. Good food. Personal attention of the owners. Economic price. There's a short bite over here. But, was fairly frustrated with the type of restaurants around and the options served by them. So, looking for simple, simple vegetarian food. See! Just what I wanted, with the great courtesy that is a trademark of Sri Lanka. The owner is an American lady and she herself helped us through the ordered part of the menu. The pricing of the dishes is very economical, they are cooked before you and the owner will also guide you in the different types of trekking options nearby. All in all, a good experience. Date of experience: March 2019.
My friends and I stayed here for 3 nights. The food is seriously some of the best in Sri Lanka. I had been a bit disappointed in Sri Lankan food until this place opened my eyes! We even decided to do a cooking class here. Highly recommend the rice and curry!
Went here one night as we were looking to try the Sri Lankan Dish Lamprais or Lumprice. It was very moist, with a huge chunk of chicken in the middle, a boiled egg and multiple different curries throughout, served with a hand full of different a accompaniments on the side, like Pol Sambal. Only thing it was slightly cold in the middle and I can imagine finding better versions of Lamprice in Sri Lanka for same price. We also ordered a side of Vegetable Kuttu, which was a little bland and dry, so needed to add Sambal and sauce to make it palatable. Responsibly priced food, a little less than some of the places on the main Street. Was very quiet, just off the noisy main road. However the attmospare was pretty boring tbh.
