This cafe looks very ordinary from the outside but has some of the best food we've tasted in Sri Lanka. Any dish you order will be packed with flavours! It is run by a two man band, with a very talented chef and friendly host, always happy to tell you more about the dishes or share their local tips. We had to come back to this place a second time before leaving Ella.

This place offers almost all kinds of food (except bakery items) which are readily available in Sri Lanka. It's a good deal for the price and tasty as well. The interior of the place is quite interesting and done in a new way to attract customers. A must visit food joint if you happen to be in Ella, Sri Lanka.

But the guy running the place is super friendly and helpful. The food was very cheap and the curry’s looked ridiculously good.

We also had the rott... read more One of the most authentic places to have proper Sri Lankan food on the Main Street of Ella. We had the rice and curry and it was delicious. We also had the rotti and also a Sri Lankan dessert which were also great. Prices are very good, with most dishes costing around the 500LKR price point. Definitely one of the more cost effective places in town too. The staff were fantastic and offered a very personal service, explaining all of the dishes to us. Make sure you give this place a go, you won’t regret it!
