What Stephanie C likes about Baddeck Lobster Supper:
Excellent lobster! Casual restaurant with great, friendly service and excellent food. Had lobster and dessert (homemade). No reservations and the wait was 30 mins, but took a walk and waited outside so it was not a big deal. View all feedback. What Peter W doesn't like about Baddeck Lobster Supper:
Roadside signs say restaurant opens at 4pm but no closing time is specified When we arrived the sign on the door said OPEN We went in but were refused service after the waitress checked with the the kitchen staff who declared the kitchen closed at 8pm My phone clock said it was 8:01 so we entered on or before 8pm So much for Canadian hospitality View all feedback.

read moreLocated in Baddeck, this restaurant has generated quite the buzz, but our experience left much to be desired. With staff looking overwhelmed and a chaotic kitchen atmosphere, the ambiance was far from ideal. The food, despite the high prices, was subpar - from cold lobster portions to a disappointing steak dish. The limited menu options did not help matters either. However, there were some highlights, such as the oatcake cookies. Despite the mixed reviews, the lobster dishes seemed to be the most satisfactory items on the menu, with patrons enjoying the sweet and fresh flavor. While some considered it overpriced for what was offered, others found the lobster dinner to be satisfying, especially when accompanied by all-you-can-eat mussels and chowder. The service received mixed reviews, with some patrons praising the friendly and efficient staff, while others felt service could have been better. Despite the inconsistency in reviews, there were those who declared their dining experience at this restaurant as the best meal of their maritime trip. Ultimately, while it may not be a top choice for all diners, those seeking a lobster-centric dining experience might find something to enjoy here.
