Bell Buoy - Baddeck, Cape Breton Canada

I thought this restaurant was fantastic. We were seated right away at a table with a view on a Saturday night, despite not having a reservation. I ordered the fish and chips, which were delicious, and the service was very attentive—what a nice change after being overlooked at a nearby competitor! In my opinion, it's truly a hidden gem!

I stopped by to try the fish tacos that a friend recommended, and they definitely lived up to the hype. The mango salsa was outstanding. It's a great little place downtown with a lovely patio.

I indulged in a lovely dining experience. The restaurant elegantly accommodates walk-ins, though reservations are recommended. The server was inexperienced but very nice and friendly, and she did a commendable job. The mussels appetizer was quite enjoyable.

We decided to stop at a restaurant in Baddeck on our way from Cape Breton to Halifax, and we were disappointed with what we ordered.

This restaurant is beautifully situated near the waterfront. While the food was decent, it didn’t quite stand out and felt a bit pricey for the portion sizes. The seafood chowder was enjoyable. The service was somewhat slow, but that's understandable nowadays. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, and I would recommend it if you don’t mind taking some time for dinner.
