If you want chicken, this is a good place to eat while visiting Bad Wimpfen. Krauterweible specializes in roasted chicken; you get half a chicken for 6 Euro with a slice of bread and they do take out. So if you want this type of fare, this is your restaurant. View all feedback.

We ate here on a Sunday evening, and were able to sit outside. It was difficult for the waitress to negotiate the steps into the restaurant, but she must be used to it. Food was very good, mid range in price. Happy we were able to eat here, glad they were open on Sunday night, as not a lot of the restaurants were open
This restaurant was recommended by the Tourist Information Centre & looking at reviews on TA. It is exactly as described, very authentic, great food, great service. We had the roast chicken, chicken cordon Bleu, potato & salad with strudel & blackforest sundae. Everything tasted amazing. If we were there another night, we would be going back for the same it was that good.
We walked in by chance and had the most amazing house specialty chicken ever! It was extra crispy and salty (not too salty just flavorful) and juicy! And the Krautsalat (which came with tomatoes, radish salad, pickles, Krautsalat) combined was just amazing! One of the best chicken dishes I have ever had. Can't recommend it enough.
Most places in Bad Wimpfen close early. But we were lucky this place was open. We had the Schnitzel (decent), Hausmacher, cold cut, sausages with liver, something like the French Pâté (fantastic), Strudel Sahne, Schwarzwald Becher or Blackforest icecream (yummy). And beer, which needless to say was great.
