What Karolina Krämer doesn't like about Cafe JATS:
We had a terrible experience. The waitress made us feel really undesirable. She was even mad at our children. In a small place like this you expect a nice person, but she filled the room with hostility. View all feedback.
This cafe does delicious cakes and coffees. Definitely go when you're in Bad Wildbad! Not far from the Sommerberg funicular drop off point.
We stopped here on a motorcycle tour of the Black Forest and were made very welcome. The place is beautifully decorated and the staff were friendly and spoke perfect English which always makes it easier. The cake selection was the best we had all week and the coffee was great. We highly recommend it and this is the only review I have left all week which shows how impressed I am. There is also a toilet for customers. We will come back.
So this is the second year in a row that my wife and I travelled in the Black Forest on my birthday. That meant that it was my job to celebrate her a Black Forest cake. I found this charming and picturesque little coffee shop and bakery where we both enjoyed a delicious cappuccino. My wife got her black forest cake and I went with the chocolate cream cake. What an absolutely wonderful way to start her birthday! This is next year!
The waitress did not speak English and was badly tempered from the beginning. she asked us for the most impatient way to prove a covid. we have shown our international QR code, but it could not read the English text and a kind of imploded. then. asked them that our children, who are clearly under 12, are a certificate that they go to school. please just put a sign on the door that this place is not included for foreigners.
Bad Wildbad, a pleasant Spa town, clusters on both sides of its river. Several bridges span the waters, over one side are the shops, large hotels and clinics that prospered in the days when they were important to the social and healthy aspects of Society....The other side the river has Cafe tables with Parasols (in Season) clustered overlooking the rushing waters along a shop lined road, the local light railway running along it. Having gone to the Park and been sadly disabused of any notion of Service at the EisCafe there we went insearch of refreshments. Some Cafes did not have wine, some did not have cakes, most did not seemed bothered. However Cafe JATS had wines, small individual bottles of sparkling Sekt and Cakes, a splendid collection of cakes and pastries. I had a Himbeeren Torte (like a Schwarzwälder Kirschtort without the Kirsch but with Rasberries delicious. over they happily had a very good attitude towards Customers. The repast was excellent as was the Service. We enjoyed our visit late afternoon of Monday 21st August.
