We were there for Christmas. Very attentive service. Food was okay.

The four of us had a truly delightful evening. The small but excellent selection of vegetarian dishes and appetizers, as well as the very attentive service, were particularly noteworthy. As far as pasta is concerned, many Italian restaurants in the region could learn a thing or two from them. The portions were more than generous, and the wait between courses was pleasant. All in all, highly recommended. We will gladly return!

The food was great as long as there were no changes. I would have liked the steak cooked well, which was promised, no problem. It arrived almost an hour later, when the buffet was almost cleared and we were about to pay. We even canceled it, saying we didn't need it anymore. It practically came with the bill

The kitchen has unfortunately declined significantly. Scallops as a starter. Two very small scallops on a salad arrangement that didn 't suit the seafood at all, accompanied by an overly acidic dressing. The scallops were seared, but otherwise largely tasteless. Disappointing. Afterwards, venison medallions. One would think that game could only be more flavorful. Unfortunately, this was not the case. They were also largely tasteless. The sauce was purely for show; it contributed nothing aromatically. Simple sour cherries in the sauce were ultimately out of place. The chef needs to reconsider the difference between fruity notes, as the menu states, and acidity. And the vegetables were just slapped onto the plate like in a university cafeteria. In the past, I 've found Karl 's food to be quite decent, considering it 's more or less in the sticks. Pleasant atmosphere, yes, but ultimately, what matters is what 's on the plate. My message to the kitchen: Taste and adjust the seasoning; presentation matters. As it is now, it 's no longer worth a visit. The only thing that was truly exorbitant here were the prices.
