Our world-famous pastry shop in Bad Ischl is always worth a visit! Whether for food, or for coffee and sweets... Everything tastes great. Value for money is also okay, although the prices are in the upper range for some dishes! Nevertheless, definitely... Highly recommended! PS: Table reservation helps against possible waiting times! Is actually always very well attended. View all feedback.
What Kyle Owen doesn't like about Cafe-Zauner:
We wanted to try this place as many people recommended. We spent over 15 minutes and have not yet been even asked about our order. The place was not full at all, but waiters seemed not to pay much attention to guests. Hence we left.We were really sad about this experience :(Locals later suggested to try Zauner Konditorei in the center; it has the same food but much better service. View all feedback.
Sehr nettes Personal und wirklich gutes Essen! Es lohnt sich mal dort zu gewesen zu sein . Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: €30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Kaiserschmarrn Mit Zwetschkenröster, Zauner Eisbecher, Klassiker Wiener Schnitzel Ein Hochgenuss Immerwieder, Lachsbrötchen
Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3
Super leckeren Kuchen und freundliche Bedienung. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: €10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
We had a delicious dinner on their terrace along the river. We ordered items from Spring menu. I had the Strudel Duo which had spinach and cheese strudel and mushroom, olive, and rice strudel. Excellent! My husband had the dumplings in Riesling sauce. For dessert, we chose two tortes from the case inside and we were not disappointed. Usually my husband and I will trade desserts halfway through but this time he refused to give up his Schokolade Torte. Our waiter, who was from Budapest, was friendly and hard working. Food arrived quickly.
This place is hard to find if you are in a car! The trick is that the restaurant faces the river, not the road. You have to park and walk around to the river side to realize you have arrived. Although we were there on a rainy day, the view of the river if very nice. Probably much nicer if you sit outside, which we couldn't. The breakfast menu was a little limited, but the food was good and service was quick. This place is known for their desert pastries and chocolates, which were wonderful. We got a few to go and enjoyed them later.
