If you like those old style restaurants with typical heavy and rich cooking you go there. It is fränkisch bavarian-fresh draft beer. We had handkäse mit Musil and goose - all well done. The only eception is they dont take credit cards-cash or ES only. View all feedback.

We spotted this place while walking around the city, but it was full when we tried to eat lunch there. We tried back for dinner and were seated with a nice German couple (table sharing is not uncommon in Germany). It was a nice German bar and restaurant atmosphere. The goulash was AWESOME. I highly recommend trying to get a reservation. It was actually the highlight of an otherwise crappy visit to Bad Homburg.
I stay in Bad Homburg every year during a trade show visit and it is our tradition to eat here on the last night. The menu is good traditional German style food and the restaurant is right next to the Schloss (castle). The meatball soup wasn't my cup of tea, but the schnitzel and pork knuckle were very good. It's just changed ownership, but the atmosphere is the same.
Excellent typic German place for a drink, in particularly for bear from Bayern (weißbier, hefe... and good German wine. The cook is also very good, typical German and very good. And the service is top and professional. The woman landlord is always happy to talk...with you, kind and friendly.
It is a great and traditional German restaurant in very nice and old part of Bad Homburg. The food is excellent and a price is good. It's not expensive restaurant. It is worth to try.
