I was with a group of six colleagues and we had an excellent dinner in the zum Stern restaurant. Pls note that this has a Michelin bib gourmande. Le Etoile in the same hotel as a Michelin star, so it's name the star) is...very appropriate. We all had very nice starters and excellent mains. Recommendable.
We had just one night, but we really enjoyed it. The hotel is very well situated right in the center of the city on the marketplace. We had a nice view over the marketplace and although there was a bit of noice Friday morning when...they started setting up the stands it just gave a special feeling to the stay. We had dinner in the “normal restaurant” (there’s a Michelin star restaurant as well), and it was very clear that the menu is prepared in the same kitchen it was just amazing and yet at reasonable prices. Probably the best fish soup ever. The breakfast buffet is very nicely setup and overwhelming you can get almost what you want. So this was a perfect overnight on our way to Italy One small complaint is that the Irish Coffee was made with a very Smokey schotts which made it almost undrinkable !
We stopped here spontaneously because the journey home was not possible due to the weather. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The food was great and the breakfast was more than filling. Wellness and pool were also really great. We had three wonderful days in Bad Hersfeld! Rooms: Very nicely and lovingly furnished! Nearby activities: Shopping, hiking, walking, eating out everything is possible from here Walkability: The market square is right in front of the door, as are the pedestrian zone and the monastery ruins. Food drinks: The hotel has two restaurants, one of which has a Michelin star. We tested the other one and it was a dream. We recommend Noteworthy details: The hotel or house is very old and winding, sometimes with a sloping floor or a low passage. But that's what makes it so special.
Great family owned hotel, just a romantic hotel. We booked an overnight stop on our way home from holiday and were not disappointed. Dinner at the hotel was great. The service was very friendly and attentive. The breakfast was good, although we would have been happy about ham (raw or cooked) or herb quark. But we left the house quite full and can recommend it with a clear conscience.
