Presumably because my mothe... read more The Swabian roast beef was exemplary. My companions were also very satisfied with their meals. The staff is—to put it mildly—clumsy. Presumably because my mother, 98, ordered warm still water, I received my bottle of Teinacher warm and still, instead of the chilled and medium-rare version I ordered. My roast beef came with roasted potatoes instead of spaetzle, as ordered. When I complained about this, my wife had to witness my order so that the roasted potatoes could be subsequently replaced with spaetzle. While clearing the table, the waiter dropped a used knife on my wife 's dress. She waited in vain for an apology. At the prices charged, I expect not only great food but also better service. The restaurant, which I have been visiting occasionally for about 15 years, has retained its original and cozy ambiance.
