Staff are friendly and the venue is clean. The cheese bacon bread is delicious!

I'm a local and eat here fairly regularly. I've been pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food on a number of occasions and signed up to the site just to leave this review since the other two don't really do it justice. The place has a relaxed atmosphere and when the food is great it's phenomenal. I would and have recommended this place to people from out of town. Not being paid to write this incidentally, just appreciate good food.

Booked here after getting some vouchers for food and drink, booked a table for 6, not really knowing what to expect, having vouchers to boost/attract business?... read more Booked here after getting some vouchers for food and drink, booked a table for 6, not really knowing what to expect, having vouchers to boost/attract business? Seated immediately, menus arrived shortly after. We used the tab system so all our food and drinks were on the one account, worked very well. The place was very busy, no lack of clientele I could see. Ordered steak and my wife ordered risotto. Risotto can be hit and miss sometimes, but when it came out, it was very good. My steak was well done but very tender and juicy, cooked perfectly. A very good meal in nice surrounds and the service was excellent. Overall, very good.

Dined here with my husband after seeing reviews stating they had a separate vegan menu unfortunately this isn't the case anymore they have done away with the se... read more Dined here with my husband after seeing reviews stating they had a separate vegan menu unfortunately this isn't the case anymore they have done away with the separate menu and haven't listed the vegan options clearly on their new menu either. However the staff member I delt with was a absolute star and went over and above to check what options would be suitable, even noticing they had made my risotto non vegan and took it back to the kitchen immediately. However this meant that my husband's meal had already come out and we had to wait over (another) half hour for mine to follow. The food was tasty but the rigmarole of getting it put a bit of a damper on the experience.
