Description

Boxford Village offers a warm and inviting cafe with exceptional homemade dishes and a delightful selection of wines. The charming atmosphere, attentive service, and delicious coffee and cakes make for an enjoyable post-lockdown treat. The light and airy shop is well decorated, offering a limited but wonderful selection of cakes. The coffee shop is a wonderful find with a charming, traditional 'shabby chic' style and friendly staff. Despite small portion sizes, the delicious homemade cake and quiche make for a delightful experience, surpassing chain coffee shops. This unique gem in Boxford is truly a credit to the county.

I had a delightful post-lockdown experience at Mander auctions, followed by a spontaneous visit to Coffee Box. We were welcomed warmly and served a delicious breakfast with excellent coffee and juices. To top it off, we picked up a box of delectable cakes to enjoy at home. It was a truly enjoyable post-lockdown treat. Thank you to the lovely ladies at Coffee Box.

The restaurant is now known as Marmelade. The staff remains the same and it was a hit during Boxford Open Gardens.

This is a wonderful independent coffee shop in small Suffolk village that we found ourselves walking past at the right time of the day. This was a real find. The shop is light and airy, looks attractive from the outside and is clean, tidy and well decorated within. Two friendly cheerful ladies were serving and made us welcome whilst engaging with others who were clearly known locals. There was a limited (not a criticism) of wonderful cakes (presumably home-made – we didn’t think to ask) from which we were eventually able to make a choice. They all looked good The cakes were wonderful, the coffee lovely and served nice and hot. Prices were reasonable. In the past we have chosen to start a walk in this location, not returning until later in the day. The temptation will now be to start elsewhere in the future so as to be passing by at coffee time. I’m relatively certain this is going to happen.
