Stumbled upon this lovely lake side setting whilst travelling around France intending to stay for a night and ended up staying for a week!The campsite and resta... read more Stumbled upon this lovely lake side setting whilst travelling around France intending to stay for a night and ended up staying for a week!The campsite and restaurant are run by the English owner and a lot of the food and drinks are imported from the UK. English bottled beer, lovely fish in batter and ice cream come to mind. The quality is superb and at a reasonable price. Fish and chips on a Thursday night are very popular with the ex pat community and tourists alike.There is a very good pool, and children can be safely left there under the watchful eye of a couple of lifeguards whilst you have a beer.Well worth a visit and a fantastic setting by the lakeside.The only downside is the service, this is under terrific pressure when busy.

The waiting staff... read more The food when you get it is very good, however the customer care and service is possible the worst in France and that is no mean achievement. The waiting staff were smoking and seemed to be trained to 'look' everywhere except where the customers were. As I live very near and they sell a drink that is very hard to find in France I do go there quite often, but the service only seems to get worse. Maybe the management should invest in some training for the staff and themselves.

We went tonight because it was the fish and chips menu night.
