always with good eating and acquiring changes to align (and warmth of season) the princiion of india is our way to india for a meal since I was a child. to be honest, the decor has seen better days and is in the necessity of redesign, but it still has this appeal. on a Sunday with a great lunch banquet we go then, while the restaurant is also quiet. worth visiting, but please note that the look is a little tired. How the mighty have fallen. Had great meals there over the years. Now it’s tired, dirty and slightly malodorous. Shame. TBF I can’t comment on the food as we did not stay. Had fabulous Thai elsewhere. View all feedback.
We tried a variety of dishes including pakora, samosa, mixed tandoori, madras, biryani, and vegetarian curry. All of the dishes were well cooked and served with excellent service.
I highly recommend this restaurant. I have dined here multiple times and the menu is consistently delicious. I always feel well taken care of and happy after enjoying a tasty meal and friendly service.

Called in a small order at 18:10. We were told it was a 40 minute wait which was fine as we were on our way home and timed it so we could collect rather than wait for delivery as we had our son in the car. We pulled up and went in at 18:45. At 19:00 we chased…..nothing. They completely ignored the fact it was now late and carried on serving tables. At 19:10 asked again….nothing. By this point I’ve had to sit in the car with my son for 25 minutes. At 19:15 we told them to just leave it was it was nearly 25 mins later than expected. Funnily enough THEN the food appeared. When we got home it was not correct either. Good was cold and overcooked. If they had told us the wait was going to be over an hour we wouldn’t have placed the order! Never again!
This Indian restaurant is on the road to Aylesbury, around the corner from the bulk of the shops and restaurants. Old style decor and a great atmosphere. Pleasant staff and unrushed service. Great Menu and good choice. We went on a Wednesday which as written offers four dishes with some restrictions for a very good price.
