My family had a wonderful dining experience here! The food was amazing, and I appreciated the variety on the menu. They have an excellent selection of beers, too! This place feels like a hidden gem. My kids absolutely loved the mac and cheese, and I enjoyed a delicious Reuben sandwich. The atmosphere was clean and well-maintained, and our server was friendly and attentive. What Frank D doesn't like about Carlins Restaurants:
It must have been an off night, as the weather was bad, but I was not impressed. The highly praised burger was overcooked, and the bun didn’t taste very fresh. The fries were the thin kind—nothing special, really, just like what you’d get at McDonald's. The ambiance felt a bit like a church basement, and it was too bright for my liking. I'll give it another try, but I'm not feeling optimistic. View all feedback.
Website misleading they do not have several items listed on web menu. Take out came without all the sides.
Food was great! It's hard to find a good fish and chips, but they're sure to do it with Carlins. The house wings were great too! Place was very clean and the waiting staff was super friendly. Will definitely be back here next time I'm in town.
I went to this restaurant because when Ft. devens was a base, I drank there in 1982-84. Much nicer, redone. Great staff, ladies friendly. Great food and presented stylishly but not expensive. Thanks for nostalgia!
It wasn 't very crowded while we were there, but as soon as word gets out it will be getting busier. The food is great, the drinks fantastic, and our server incredible. So Tanya, thanks for making our day and helping us celebrate Bea 's birthday. You are the best! Best of all, Tanya 's tattoo says Justin is handsome . Not actually, it really says turn every negative into a positive . And she certainly made our day positive.
Gorgeous selection of draft beers. Very friendly owner and staff. I visited for my birthday and was presented a huge bowl of ice cream with a lit candle and was sung to by the staff and the whole bar. None of this was asked for which made it an extra special memory for me. Thank you so much Carlins!!!
