We stopped for lunch today. Set menu. Crab avocado salad for entree Wonderful. Followed by poisson. Also very good. The fish was melt in your mouth. Highly recommend this eatery. Flavours go very well with the champagne you will have been tasting in the morning. View all feedback.
Wonderful Hotel with restaurant, traditional French hotel amidst lovely gardens. Very French , the owners Sylvie
We visited on a hot evening with a family of 7 including grandparents, parents and 3 well behaved children. We were shown seats on the terrace. The youngest child wanted to visit the garden where he could see play equipment and thus instantly brought out staff berating him and us as there was apparently an unfriendly goat nearby. The child was not approaching the goat. Several of our party had the sun streaming in on us and it was very hot. Despite having cantilever umbrellas the staff were very reluctant to move these to provide shade. They told us to wait ten minutes until the sun went down. In fact the sun didn't go down for at least 20 minutes and we had to move seats around. We were them made to feel uncomfortable because we had not decided our meal choices. We were not offered an aperitif. All in all the service was very poor and not all all suited to children. We might have thought they would have been pleased to have a party of seven. There was no menu for children.

Terrific 4 course lunch during our champagne tour with Chris-Events. Fish appetizer, veal terrine main follow by delicious hake and finish with chocolate dessert and espresso. Served glasses of champagne and nice house red.
Vieuxs Puits is a restaurant in the bed and breakfast "Clos St. George's". A beautiful 19th century town house in its own grounds. There are 4 delightful individually decorated bedrooms. Very comfortable beds, generous bathrooms with good showers. We spent 4 days here over the Easter break. The restaurant is original, an exciting menu, excellent wine list. Breakfast good as well. Eric and Sylvie were great hosts who will give advice on some really fun champagne houses if you ask them.
