Didn't stay at the hotel. So, no star rating. It's not a zero. I just can't comment on it. Food drinks: Small place with excellent staff. Extremely friendly and competent at their respective jobs. We came in for food since it's the only spot close by to our airbnb. The loaded wedges were a hit. Their fries (chips) are cooked perfectly, the right crispy and salt ratio. The steak was cooked a little too much (asked for medium rare and got medium well), but it tasted great, and the mushroom sauce was better than some high-end steak houses. Got the white bait meal...that was delicious too. Never had it before, and it was interesting. They had lots of gluten-free options for one of our party. Overall, it was one of the better meals I've had while vacationing. The staff was top-notch, and locals all seemed friendly. It's worth a trip back, and it's budget friendly.

The Staff go out of their way to help, if you need any if there's ever any problem, will fix it promptly no fuss! The service is above beyond, especially given the price of staying the night! Lovely people, food is great they'll cook your catch too! Nearby activities: Fishing, both River Sea fishing, they have a local club meet at the hotel, Mokau Fishing club, they also hold a Hunting club. Contact the Hotel they will advise you from there.
