Pt Pho Express- Avondale

I went to this restaurant to celebrate my daughter's 13th birthday, and we had a fantastic experience. They accommodated over 15 of us and even set up an extra table for her gifts. The service was exceptional! Food: 5/5.

I've been enjoying Bun for 30 years, and unfortunately, the Bun here ranks among the lowest in quality. It lacked flavor entirely. The vermicelli was overcooked and had a slimy texture, which likely contributed to the poor taste. Even the fish sauce was bland. I definitely won't be returning to PT Pho Express. Considering the rising costs of dining out, I feel like I just threw my money away. I really do wonder if restaurants take the time to read these reviews.

I ordered the garlic butter wings, brisket pho, and chicken fried rice, and I enjoyed nearly everything. The wings had a slightly sweet flavor that caught me by surprise. This place has a charming vibe—it’s small but very tidy, and the menu displayed over the counter is easy to read, which is a big plus! Even though they were a bit busy, my order was brought out promptly. The brisket pho was exceptional—the broth was incredibly flavorful! The spicy sauce they included added a nice kick that made everything even better. Overall, I had a fantastic experience, and I definitely plan to return to try more items from their menu!

I ordered two steak pho bowls to-go, and when I got home and began to put them together, I discovered that there were only four pieces of steak in the broth. I'm not sure how many pieces of steak are typically included, but having just four small pieces seems outrageous.

My partner and I dine here regularly, and I absolutely love the chicken pho and spring rolls, especially paired with the mango smoothie—everything is consistently delicious! The female servers always provide excellent service. A big shoutout to the manager, who always wears a cap; he consistently ensures top-notch service across the board. Food: 5/5.
