What Sarah Glinos doesn't like about Colados Coffee Crepes (avondale):
We were the first customers to order at 7am. We waited 40 min for our food and drinks. The employees apologized for the wait but I do think this was an excessive wait time, especially since we were literally the first customers of the day. My coffee didn'teven come out first like they normally do, so I waited patiently for 40 min for coffee and food. The food is good butconsidering how slow the service is I will try... This review is for the newest location on 7th st. I paid $10 for a Nutella with banana crepe and they barely added nutella. The crepe was dry, with no flavored and the coffee was nasty and watery. I used to come here all the time but now is getting worse.I will never go back.
Colados Coffee and Crepes is always a wonderful way to start of my weekend. This location has been renovated in my opinion it is double the seating area. The staff are super friendly and is always extremely clean and organized. The food and beverages aredelicious . They have become very popular over the years , expect to wait at least 15-20 before your food arrives. The food ismade to order so it's worth the wait. I'm excited to visit their 7th Street and Oak location. Thumbs up to this local familyestablishment.
As a fan of sweets, I'm really impressed with the crepes they serve here. They offer a wide selection of beverages, including smoothies, teas, and various coffee drinks—hot, iced, and blended. I particularly enjoy their teas and coffees. I'm also pleased that they offer savory crepes. I've tried a few, and I've been consistently satisfied; the morning crepe is my favorite among the savory options. I highly recommend this place to anyone— the service is excellent, the atmosphere is lively, and although it's always bustling, it's perfect for takeout!
I ordered a crepe and a hot latte and chose to sit outside. My latte took about 17 minutes to arrive, and it looked amazing and tasted great. However, after that, my waitress became unreachable. After another 30 minutes of waiting, I asked a different waiter about my order, which still wasn't ready. Another 20 minutes went by before my crepe finally arrived. While it was very well presented and decorated, I was disappointed with the taste. The crepe was difficult to cut through, almost like cutting through rubber, and it lacked flavor. After such a long wait for a single crepe (one per person), I was really let down. I'm not sure if it was the ingredients or perhaps too much sugar, but it just didn't satisfy. It will be a while before I consider giving this place another try. I wouldn't recommend it unless you're just planning to enjoy a latte.
We were the first customers to order at 7 AM, but we ended up waiting 40 minutes for our food and drinks. Although the staff apologized for the delay, I feel that this was an excessively long wait, especially since we were the very first customers of the day. My coffee didn't even arrive first, which is usually the case, so I had to wait patiently for 40 minutes for both my coffee and food. While the food is good, the slow service has led me to consider trying other crepe places before returning here. This used to be a great spot to eat before it became popular, but the service has really declined.
