This restaurant is a pleasant place to dine. I took my grandmother here for her birthday and she thoroughly enjoyed it. There were many delicious choices on the menu. I ordered the fried chicken, which unfortunately was not very tasty, dry, and tough. However, we really enjoyed the appetizer sampler. What ella b doesn't like about Claim Jumper Avondale:
I have a mix feeling about my experience with my orders. First off the flavors are great. The Atlantic Salmon was good and the portion of salmon itself was big. I liked the dish. But their Chicken Pot Pie is more like ?pie with some chicken?. The small chicken inside was good though. Then I didn't get my drinks Pineapple Coconut Lava Flow drinks. I ordered the ribs/smurf combination. the food arrived at room temperature. the small part of the ribs was ok. the grilled garnels were really small. the grilled vegetables were 90% zucchini along with some burned twills. the kartoffels were the best part of the plate. definitiw the $28 not worth. beautiful clean quiet restaurant, but not back.
Food delivery was fast. drink delivery very slowly. food and service medium
Dreadful eating, bad service, never going back, bad eating I've ever had! not recommend going there, what a waste of Thanksgiving day!
We decided for Thanksgiving this year and claim jumpers was the perfect place. our reservations were made and we sat on time. big evening choices with all the fixier gloomy. will be back next year with the whole family.
The waitress was great the food was good. The sandwich was a little light on lobster but everything else was great.
